Nineteen women’s football clubs from Greater Manchester are set to take part in this season’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup, which kicks off on Sunday 24th August 2025 with the preliminary round.


With a record prize fund on offer including £430,000 for lifting the trophy, the competition presents a major opportunity for grassroots and semi-pro sides across the country.

Prize fund highlights


The Women’s FA Cup prize structure has seen significant growth over recent years. Here’s what’s on offer at each stage:


  • Preliminary Round: £600 for winners, £150 for losers

  • First Round Qualifying: £1,800 for winners, £450 for losers

  • First Round Proper: £6,000 for winners, £1,500 for losers

  • Final: £430,000 for winners, £108,000 for runners-up



With early wins potentially boosting club funds by hundreds or even thousands of pounds, each fixture counts.
